As citizens of Indiana, we call on the Indiana General Assembly to create a public system of health insurance that provides all Indiana residents with comprehensive coverage (including prescription drugs, long-term care and freedom to choose doctors and other health care professionals). It would be funded through an insurance trust fund that uses public monies to replace funds currently channeled through private insurers. It would be more efficient to use a single fund rather than multiple private insurers.
What HCHP Will Do with the Petitions:
Take them to the Indiana legislature to demonstrate that Hoosiers DO support health care reform.
Keep petition signers informed through email newsletters.
Find people throughout Indiana who might work to support healthcare reform.
Print and use this form to collect signatures. Please mail pages with signatures to: P.O. Box 2632, Bloomington, IN 47402-2632.
Mission: Hoosiers for a Commonsense Health Plan is a group of Indiana citizens who support a publicly financed, privately delivered (single payer) universal health plan at the state and national level. HCHP is working to educate the public and the legislature about the benefits of a single payer plan. We are seeking individuals and groups who have an interest in helping achieve this goal.
